What I'm Up To

When I'm not working with writers and filmmakers, here's what I'm making, doing, and building.

This is the stuff that keeps me up at night (in a good way). The projects that remind me why I do this work. The creative practice that feeds everything else.

Writing

I have so many scripts, it would be impossible to list them all here. But here are a few of my favorites. What I'm working on right now is a few things you won't see (cause they aren't done!). One is a pilot in development. Another is a feature script that I have attached to a independent producer I really like! Can't say much more than that right now, but it should be fun!

Acting

Despite going to school for acting, I mostly gravitate towards new works or working on plays for trusted collaborators.

Actor Reel

James Kenna - Actor Reel

A collection of recent work showcasing range across drama, comedy, and new play development. I gravitate toward new works and trusted collaborators—projects where I can help shape the story from the ground up.

Despite training in acting, I find myself most energized by the development process. Working on new plays and films means I'm not just executing someone else's vision—I'm part of creating it.

Featuring work from: C@ckfight, Guilt, Slowburn, and various new play readings and workshops.

Staged Reading: Slowburn

A new play by Lee Melillo produced by 3Ps.

A young woman enters her freshman year of college with an atypical side hustle: secretly writing commissioned fanfics online about world-famous YA fantasy series, The Court of Copperfield. The Writer pens magical adventures and pulse-quickening romances with the series’ dreamy male leads, who operate as her personal Greek chorus on her journey from adolescence to adulthood. But no amount of writing can prepare her for when she falls for a real, live 18-year-old guy - one who won’t follow the storylines she’s made up in her mind. Meanwhile, her Roommate reads fanfics to explore his gender identity, and finds a writer who reminds him of someone he knows – if only he could put his finger on just who it is…

Business & Entrepreneurship

I've worked in technology consulting, and applied that knowledge to start my own production company. It's also been a huge help to production work, or even helping my friends launch their own projects.

Producing, Teaching & Dramaturgy

This is a bit of a catch-all for things I've done that don't fit into the other categories. I've taught film classes, produced plays, and consulted on scripts. Generally, this is how I like to help that doesn't fit into a neat box.
