James  Kenna

Born and raised in New Jersey, James' career as a writer and actor takes on a blue-collar sensibility combined with empathetic and grounded technique.

As a theatermaker, his work has been home to Ithaca's Hangar Theatre, Steppenwolf, The 52nd Street Project, The Drama League, The Edinburgh Fringe Festival, New York's Symphony Space. His writing has been produced and performed across the country, following a residency with Vivid Stage.

He is a Dramaturg with The New Jersey Play Lab and The Village where he mentors young artists and supports established/emerging writers.

James graduated from Fordham University in 2019 with a B.A. in Theatre: Performance and an award for distinguished achievement. James is represented by UIA Talent Agency.
